FAQs
What Is A Dermal Filler?
A dermal filler is a gel-like solution that is injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften wrinkles, or enhance facial contours. The dermal fillers used at Destiny Med Spa are made from hyaluronic acid. With fillers, we can help eliminate wrinkles, plump and hydrate lips, replace soft-tissue volume loss, raise scar depressions and lift the creases and folds of the face. Due to sun damage and muscle movement, our skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles and fine lines as we age. Through injections of dermal fillers, they provide a solution to such damage.
Who Would Make A Good Candidate For Dermal Fillers?
In general, most people are good candidates for dermal fillers, but an ideal candidate has little permanent work done, doesn’t smoke, and is in good overall health.
How Soon Will I See The Results From My Filler Injections?
After treatment, results can be seen immediately. This also depends on the amount of injections, the area injected, and how your body reacts to the procedure. You may have some swelling for approximately 3-7 days. After 2-3 weeks, the product settles, and you can enjoy your final results. To avoid residual bruising and swelling, please give yourself at least 2 weeks before any events or vacations.
How Long Do Dermal Filler Injections Last?
A person’s longevity varies with the type of treatment he or she receives. Some bodies may metabolize the product quicker than others because the product is injected into the body.
