Brow Tinting

Brow Tinting

Your eyebrows are a facial feature that frames your eyes and highlights your bone structure. You can use gels, tattoos, pencils, and serums to enhance your eye’s appearance, but these treatments are time-consuming and often unsafe. Instead, try eyebrow tinting that is long-lasting, non-invasive, safe, and pain-free. It is a method of dying the hairs to create fuller-looking brows. The eyebrow tint is made from a semi-permanent vegetable dye or henna and is designed to match your natural eyebrow color.

The entire process takes about 15 minutes to complete. First, your specialist cleans your brows and applies the surrounding area with a thin layer of petroleum jelly to prevent the dye from staining your skin. Next, a custom eyebrow shade is mixed to create the dye and applied to the eyebrows.

Your specialist applies the dye in the direction of hair growth and then in the opposite direction of your eyebrow growth. This technique is designed to catch the fine hairs inside and directly outside your brows. Your specialist will let the dye sit for several minutes or until the brows are the color you want. Once your eyebrows are the color you want, your specialist will use a damp paper towel to wipe away the excess dye.

Try to prevent getting your eyebrows wet for up to 24 hours. Avoid rubbing, scratching, or scrubbing your eyebrows. It is also advised that you don’t use oil-based facial produce and do not use retinols and retinoids. Instead, use a brow product to groom your brows and keep them in place.

Before your brow tinting, make sure you are not allergic to any dyes. If you have an allergy to hair dye, you may experience redness, itching, and possible eyebrow hair loss.

Eyebrow tinting should last between three and six weeks. Your specialist may advise you to get touch-ups every four to six weeks.
